Senator Ted Kennedy Proves He Is Still Alive And Well:

With Beacon Hill visable through a window behind them Sen. Edward M. Kennedy, D-Mass., and his wife Vicki sit together in a family room at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Tuesday afternoon, May 20, 2008. Kennedy has been diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor.

Senator Kennedy looks quite healthy considering the circumstances.

Ted Kennedy Has A Brain Tumor

Ted Kennedy Has Been Diagnosed With A Malignant Tumor:

BOSTON (AP) - Sen. Edward M. Kennedy say he has a malignant brain tumor.

Doctors for the Massachusetts Democrat say tests conducted after Kennedy suffered a seizure this weekend show a tumor in his left parietal lobe. His treatment will be decided after more tests but the usual course includes combinations of radiation and chemotherapy.

The 76-year-old senator has been hospitalized in Boston since Saturday, when he was airlifted from Cape Cod after a seizure at his home.

His wife and children have been with him each day but have made no public statements.

I know exactly what the Kennedy family is going through right now. A few years ago, out of the blue, my father had a seizure. My mother was the only other person in the house at the time and it was all she could do to get him in the car. Hours later, at the hospital, I saw my father. He looked terrible. Immediately the doctors ran several checks on him to find the source of the seizure and just days later we were hit with the same news Senator Kennedy's family is facing.

It's a bizarre thing to hear that a loved one is going to have to undergo brain surgery. To think of the doctors slicing and dicing their way to his frontal lobe and other parts that were never meant to see the light of day is disturbing. Brain surgery is, however, remarkably effective. With the exception of a scar, hidden by his hairline, you would never know my father had a tumor the size of a golf ball removed from his brain. Odds are Senator Kennedy, much like my father, will be just fine and may not even need surgery but my thoughts are with his family at this time.

Doctor Offers Sex Changes For Kids

Boston Doctor Offers Sex Changes To Kids As Young As 7:

sex change

Boston’s Children’s Hospital bills itself as the hospital for children — and now it’s also the hospital for children who want a sex change, a procedure some critics are calling “barbaric.”

Dr. Norman Spack, a pediatric specialist at the hospital, has launched a clinic for transgendered kids — boys who feel like girls, girls who want to be boys — and he’s opening his doors to patients as young as 7.

Spack offers his younger patients counseling and drugs that delay the onset of puberty. The drugs stop the natural flood of hormones that would make it difficult to have a sex alteration later in life, allowing patients more time to decide whether they want to make the change.

Spack also offers some teenagers hormone therapy, a drastic step that changes the way they grow and develop. While the effects of drug treatments can be stopped, long-term hormone therapy can be irreversible, causing permanent infertility in both sexes.

Some please tell me this guy is kidding. 7-year-old children, because that's what they are, children, have no need for sex change therapy. If an adult wants to yank a sexual orientation U-turn, that's fine by me. Children, however, have more than enough problems in this day and age without contemplating 'hormone therapy' or 'sex alteration'. Why doesn't Doctor Norman Spack make better use of his time by finding a cure to the bizarre hair growth problem 'Werewolf Boy' is dealing with? God help us all if parents actually go along with this.

Spray Can Removed From Anus

Whether You Know It Or Not, They Are Laughing At You:

The nearly 3-minute video of a noisy operating room shows doctors and nurses laughing, giggling and cheering. At one point, a hand appears with a cell phone camera taking a close-up picture of the surgery.

As a doctor gingerly pulls out a 6-inch-long spray canister from the male patient's rectum, someone shouts, "Baby out!" amid loud cheers.

The doctor then removes the canister cap and sprays the contents toward a crowd of nurses and doctors viewing the procedure.

The 39-year-old patient, who remains unidentified, plans next week to file a complaint seeking the revocation of the licenses of those responsible and a civil suit for damages, his lawyer, Guiller Ceniza, said.

I'll warn you now, the video above is a bit graphic. It was filmed in a Philippine hospital in January and was posted recently on YouTube.com. YouTube, of course, removed the video when it began to cause a controversy but not before it spread to other sites.

It certainly makes you wonder what goes on when you are under sedation. It's a bit like when when the doctor burnt his alma mater on a patients organ some time ago. Well, it's not exactly like that, as it doesn't involve a giant canister mysteriously placed in a man's anus but it's close. Odds are, the doctors in this video will end up losing their jobs. The real question is, why would this guy risk the embarrassment involved in a public lawsuit of this kind?
