Is The Internet Segregated?

RushmoreDrive.com Is A New Search Engine For Black People:

rushmore

"RushmoreDrive.com [is] a search engine specifically targeting the black community by offering relevant search results, as well as news and job listings. For example, a search for "President Bush" may list the official White House Web site, as well as a link to an article about the president addressing the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People."

Is this really a good idea? All of these race-specific sites don't seem to be in line with the true meaning of the Internet. The Web is a place where anyone and everyone can come together and access content freely. RushmoreDrive.com will only further the racial divide.

Don't think for a second that this is some flash-in-the-pan, unfunded website that won't get anywhere. The money behind this venture is unprecedented and Hillary Clinton went out of her way to make a video statement to be played at the launch party. Then again, I hear MC Hammer was there as well and we all know how his career ended.
