Pregnant Man At Seven Months

Thomas Beatie Update - The Pregnant Man Is Doing Landscaping:

Keeping the lawn in tip-top shape is a matter of pride for many men and bearded transsexual Thomas Beatie is no different - despite being seven months' pregnant.

Sporting a T-shirt with the logo of his company "Define Normal", the 34-year-old gets stuck into his gardening chores while wife Nancy does her weekend duties at their Bend home in the U.S. state of Oregon.

Thomas, who was born Tracy Lagondino, said he first felt he was trapped in the wrong body when he was in his 20s and quickly went from a Miss Teen Hawaii finalist to taking testosterone and growing a beard.

I'll 'define normal'. Normal; adjective, the exact opposite of a bearded pregnant man mowing his/her lawn at 7-months along.

For some reason it just annoys the hell out of me that people insist on referring to the person as a "pregnant man". Males/men cannot get pregnant, period, end of sentence. I understand that this person feels more comfortable living as a man and dresses and acts like a man and with that I have no issue, power to them, but when the press makes a big deal about the first "pregnant man", it just pisses me off.

Good point. I've made the same one... I was just using the name the media has blessed him with...

I have no problem with whatever gender etc people feel themselves to belong to. Peace with that, and best of luck to them. But, what worries me here is, if a pregnant woman/person takes testosterone (I'm assuming she/he still does it the rest of her/his life) then what does that do to the fetus? Anyone?

I seem to remember reading that they are stopping their testosterone therapy while pregnant (actually, IIRC, they stopped before the pregnancy in order to become pregnant).

By the way, Thomas Beatie was a beautiful woman before changing her gender. She was even the finalist of Miss Hawaii USA
